About Chinese Medicine
Chinese Medicine basic concept is that a vital force of life or energy, called Qi, surges through the body. The energy balance of the internal body organs are related to the external elements of the season, timeline, Earth and the Cosmos energy.
Any imbalance to Qi can cause disease and illness. Balance between health and disease is key. An imbalance is most commonly caused by trauma, poor dietary habits, and/or emotional stress.
Chinese medicine focuses on how to regain this energy balance.
The main treatment method of Chinese medicine is:
-
Herbal Medicine (nature herb including food-food Medicine)
-
Acupuncture
Adjuvant treatment methods include:
-
Moxibustion (the burning of herbal leaves above acupoints).
-
Cupping (the use of glass jars to create suction on certain points of the body).
-
Acupressure (put pressure on acupoints).
-
Movement and concentration exercises (such as tai chi and qigong).
Food Medicine
Food is used as medicine, especially in Chinese herbal Medicine.

In the body there is the Yin/Yang balance, and in everyone the Yin/Yang balance is different. Herbs and food also have their own Yin/Yang feature. Once you intake food and herbs into the body, it is possible to improve the Yin/Yang balance and recover from sickness.
